Un cammino di fede insieme a Francesco d’Assisi (A Way of Faith along with Francis of Assisi)
The insistence of Pope Francis on the essential moment of faith, the encounter with God, is also the core of St. Francis's message, his center and heart. That encounter, a certain experience of God that Francis calls "pleasing and desirable above all things," is something that the saint of Assisi has sought with tenacity and that he has urgently recommended to all his followers. To love God with all beings until he becomes his "home," that home of the Father and of the Son of whom John speaks the gospel. The realities in this text appear as the conclusion, the vertex of Francis's spiritual vision, a kind of testament.
THADDÉE MATURA is a little Polish (Franciscan) friar, formed in Canada and France, specialized in Bible and Theology in Jerusalem and Rome. It is best known for the edition of the Scriptures of St. Francis, which he carved in French for the "Sources Chrétiennes" necklace and for his experiences on the new forms of religious life that began in Taizé in the 1960s.
