The Secular Franciscan Order, once commonly called the Franciscan Third Order, was born from the heart of St. Francis of Assisi: it is a proposal of a serious Christian itinerary for all those who feel fascinated by the experience of St. Francis, whatever be their state of life. The book was born from the experience of the author who, in Sicily, gave birth to a training school for sisters and brothers who are entrusted with the welcome and accompaniment of those who approach the secular fraternities. Hence also the characteristic of this book: helping to fully understand the needs of the secular Franciscan vocation, illuminating choices and behaviors consistent with the call to fraternity.
