e la riforma ecclesiastica in Boemia...
The Capuchin friar Valeriano Magni da Milano († 1661) played a central role in the re-establishment of the Catholic Church in Bohemia, in the first half of the '600.
The methodology used by the Capuchin Lombard (creating seminars for proper training of the clergy, the search for an approach with Protestants based on tolerance and not coercion), ecumenically forefront, won him considerable apostolic fruits, but also many adversities by other Catholic forces who did not share these innovations.
The activity of Magni is documented from the letters preserved at the Congregation de Propaganda Fide, 46 unpublished letters that are published in the appendix to this volume.
